Public BBQ

One of the best public playgrounds in Canberra, set along the pond at Coombs with beautiful views and a genuinely tranquil feel. The equipment is diverse and well built, with multiple forts and slides, swings, in-ground trampolines, some accessible pieces and a good range of challenge levels that children can self-limit on - it leans towards three and up. Different sections suit different ages. There are toilets, a barbecue area, taps, seats and bins, and a walking trail that is wheelchair and pram accessible runs alongside, with water birds on the pond. It is not enclosed. Parking is street only and limited. The exposed rock and granite around the equipment would be better rubberised, and the sandpit has been filled with tan bark.
